How to Block a Region

Camera Prive has a tool for blocking regions, which can be used to block cities, entire states and countries to prevent users from those areas from finding and accessing your profile.

This tool cannot be used to block more specific locations, such as neighborhoods, businesses, universities, etc.

Blocking is made possible by using geolocation data based on users' IP addresses, which are like digital addresses. IP addresses can be hidden through the use of proxy services or due to issues with the internet provider, so blocks are not 100% effective—but when set up correctly, they work very well.

Your first block must be requested through our support team via one of our Support Channels. After that, just go to My Account > Blocked Zones to block or unblock locations.

To make sure a location is effectively blocked, enter the state abbreviation in the State field and the full name (no abbreviations or nicknames) of the city you want to block in the City field.

Keep in mind the following rules:

1. You can only block Brazilian cities on your own.
2. Each city must be blocked separately—one city at a time. Do not enter the words "all” or "all cities," as the block won't take effect.
3. Do not use abbreviations or nicknames, such as "BH" for Belo Horizonte or "Sampa" for São Paulo. Use the full and correct name of the city.
4. Do not enter the state abbreviation in the city field.
5. To block entire states or countries, you'll need to contact Support.
6. It’s not possible to block neighborhoods or specific physical locations like universities, businesses, apartment complexes, etc.
7. To block cities outside of Brazil, please contact Support.
